Dr. Reicherter is a native of Kansas. He began at Baker University where he was a scholar athlete and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He earned his medical degree at the University of Kansas Medical Center where he graduated with honors and was introduced into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He then went on to do his residency at the prestigious dermatology program at Stanford University. He received his training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at Stanford as well. He is a fellow of the American Society for Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Reicherter is a member of the Oregon Medical Society, the Oregon Dermatology Society, Willamette Dermatology Society, American Society of Cosmetic and Aesthetic Surgery, a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Reicherter has a very active family life with his beautiful wife, and their six children. In his spare time, he likes to read and play tennis.
Dr. Tony N. Nakhla is a Board Certified Dermatologist, Dermatologic Surgeon, Medical Director of OC Skin Institute, and author of the book: The Skin Commandments: 10 Rules to Healthy, Beautiful Skin. Dr Nakhla is devoted to aiding patients to develop stronger health and beauty through medicine and the latest surgical procedures for the skin.
Dr. Nakhla is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Mohs Surgery, and American Osteopathic Association.
In addition to helping patients in western Oregon, Dr. Nakhla also provides services to individuals in Orange County, California, who are living with a range of skin, nail, and hair disorders. These disorders could range from acne, dermatitis, psoriasis, melanoma, or other familiar skin conditions. Dr. Nakhla can provide diagnostic or treatment options including skin biopsies, the prescription of medications, laser therapy, and other dermatological procedures.
Catherine Barry, DO was raised in rural Lakeview, Oregon. Advance Skin Center is excited to have Dr. Barry in our clinic full time. She was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society at Portland State University and a three-time Academic All-American while on scholarship for Portland State’s NCAA volleyball team. Following graduation Dr. Barry worked as a clinical research coordinator for a dermatologist in Portland, OR where she developed her interest for dermatopathology. She attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, and after a rotating internship at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, CA she moved to the east coast for her pathology residency at Yale New Haven Hospital/Yale University School of Medicine. She completed her dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, and following her fellowship, Dr. Barry spent four years in Los Angeles at Cedars Sinai Medical Center where she specialized in dermatopathology, bone and soft tissue pathology and head and neck pathology. Dr. Barry has built two successful pathology laboratories from the ground up, and has considerable experience lecturing at national meetings. She also enjoys teaching medical students about skin pathology. She has written numerous papers in peer reviewed journals and a book chapter on skin diseases. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, coaching youth sports and exploring the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest.
Jody Zurita is from Roseburg Oregon. She had a wonderful career in hospital and dermatology nursing prior to becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated Summa Cum Laide from her masters program at the George Washington University and began her career at Advanced Skin Center in 2014. Jody loves taking care of people, with the goal of helping to solve problems and improve health and well-being for her patients.
Jody is a member of the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners, and the American Associates of Nurse Practitioners.
Jody is married with two beautiful daughters. For recreation, she enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, water skiing, and snowboarding. She loves spending time with her family and also likes to volunteer in the community.
Winthrop earned his Bachelor of Arts at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, where he specialized in human physiology, biomechanics and worked throughout school in the field of physical therapy. From there he went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Sport Sciences and Exercise Physiology from the University of the Pacific, Stockton, California. As a graduate student at UOP Winthrop was involved in a broad array of research ranging from elite performance in cycling to the study of several different chronic diseases. After UOP, Winthrop worked in Cardiac Rehab at Legacy Meridian Park hospital, helping patients with cardiac and pulmonary disease recover and live more healthy and happy lives. It was this work and shadowing experiences that led him to Physician Assistant School at University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville Florida, where he obtained a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies. He was Vice President of his class and was awarded with the Pi Alpha National Honors Society for Physician Assistants.
Winthrop began practicing general dermatology and assisting in MOH’s surgery in 2015 at Advanced Skin Center. He enjoys providing quality and compassionate care for patients, not only focusing on their dermatologic needs but also on overall health and well-being.
He is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Oregon Medical Association.
In his spare time he enjoys biking, hiking, skiing, fishing, hunting, cooking, reading and spending time with his family, friends, and golden retriever.
Sarah Vouch was raised in the rural town of Fairfield, Idaho, where she learned the value of hard work, dedication and perseverance. Her small town experiences have left a soft spot in her heart for rural medicine and treating those who are underserved. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho, where she specialized in exercise physiology. She was involved in biomechanics research and had planned on pursuing physical therapy school. She then took some time off to travel and experience new cultures and places. She worked in various health related position from personal trainer to occupational therapy aid to clinician’s assistant, until deciding to go back to school. It was during her schooling at Portland Community College that she met her mentor, a Physician Assistant and her anatomy lab instructor, who guided her to the career as a Physician Assistant. Sarah attended Touro University in Vallejo, California where she obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies and her Master of Public Health emphasizing in community health. Sarah graduated with honors in multiple health care specialties. Sarah has a passion for reducing barriers and improving access of health care.
Sarah began practicing general dermatology and assisting in MOH’s surgery after experiencing her wonderful rotation with Advanced Skin Center. She enjoys the patient population and all the outdoor activities that the area has to offer. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, water sports, fishing, snow activities, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
Ashley Heuer is from Prescott, Arizona. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Microbiology and a minor in Chemistry. She worked full time as a medical assistant in a Dermatology office during her last year of college and this is where her love for the field arose. After graduation she attended the number two ranked PA school in the country the University of Iowa. Ashley joined our practice in early 2017. She began practicing general and surgical dermatology at this time.She has a passion for all aspects of the field and believes the patient always comes first. She is a member of the Oregon Medical Association.
Ashley lives in Roseburg with her husband, a native Oregonian. Together they enjoy exploring the area from waterfall hikes to winery tours. They look forward to many more years of discovering all the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
David Collins is a native Oregonian raised in Roseburg. His undergraduate study took place at Western Oregon University where he majored in Biology. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree he started working in healthcare as a CNA. It was then that his passion for patient care was established. He went on to study medicine at Pacific University in Forest Grove, graduating with honors in 2006. He has been serving rural Oregonians ever since. David started work at the Advanced Skin Center in 2021. He is excited to partner with patients to address their skin care needs. His clinical interests include skin cancer treatment, general dermatology and cancer prevention. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, hiking, and camping with his wonderful wife and four children.
Amber Bischoff-Willis grew up in Omaha, Nebraska where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Creighton University. Following graduation, she took a few gap years and worked as a behavioral technician for toddlers diagnosed with autism where she helped create programming to develop language and social skills.
She later received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the top-ranked University of Nebraska Center where she was elected into multiple student officer positions within the UNMC Physician Assistant Student Society and graduated as a Regent Scholar.
Amber developed a passion for the dermatology field throughout multiple dermatology rotations during school. Her clinical interests include all areas of general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She enjoys using her background in psychology to address the impact skin problems have on mental health and formulate treatment plans that satisfy the psychosocial needs of her patients.
Amber joined the Advanced Skin Center team in early 2023. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, The Society of Dermatology of Physician Assistants (SDPA), and the Oregon Medical Association. She is currently working towards completing the SDPA’s Dermatology Diplomate Fellowship. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, hiking, and spending time with their mini aussies, Brecken and Hadley. She says that their favorite hike she’s done so far has been The Narrows at Zion National Park.
Megan was raised outside of Roseburg on her family’s ranch. She graduated Cum Laude from Oregon State University with a Bachelor‘s degree in biology. She then worked at a pediatric clinic on the Oregon coast before attending physician assistant school at Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland, OR.
Megan enjoys spending time with her dog at the beach and baking with her family. She loves sampling foods from local farmers markets. Exploring the native beauty of the Oregon coast with her friends is a favorite pastime.
